Lacemaker Terrace
Parkyns Street, Ruddington, Nottinghamshire | 2024

Application Reference 17/02939/FUL - Rushcliffe Borough Council Granted 10th May 2018

Construction Completed May 2024

This contemporary development of four 3-bedroom terraced houses sits adjacent to a Grade II listed (former lace making) residence and required the demolition of two existing machining works buildings that had fallen into significant disrepair on the allocated development site in the Ruddington Conservation Area.

Each residential unit has been allocated two back-back off-street parking spaces at either end of the residential block. The proposed terrace has been constructed with a combination of red facing brick, to match surrounding properties, white render, dark grey powder coated aluminium windows and doors with zinc grey Marley Thrutone faux slate roof tiles.

The distinctive oriel windows housed in the cantilevered bays, were designed to protect the privacy of existing residents directly opposite the proposed development along the north (road facing) and south (garden facing) elevations.
